Crews will try to recover the body of B-C's latest avalanche victim today and help the victim's companions off the mountain.
The man was killed when he was hit by a slide in the Ghost Peak area near Revelstoke on Sunday, while several other skiers survived.
Severe weather prevented a recovery team from getting into the site yesterday and has kept the other skiers on the mountain where they've set up camp.
This is the third avalanche death in B-C in less than a week, after two snowmobilers were killed last week in separate slides near Sparwood and Whistler.
Joe Lamerce with the CAC says that just because the weekends' special avalanche advisory was lifted doesnt mean conditions have improved all that much
He says that the weak snow pack has been causing larger avalanches, in many cases in unsuspecting areas.
