A memorial plaque that honours those who died in the line of work will soon be relocated from its original home at the Salmon Arm Rec Centre to a new location at Marine Park.

Cupe Local Salmon Arm is involved in the change which will be unveiled on Saturday, the 28th of April.

Doug De Patie, the father of Grant De Patie has agreed to attend and be a part of the ceremonies. Grant was killed in 2005 while working at a gas station attendant, bringing forth Grant's Law which changed on the job regulations across B.C
