The BCHL's fans have spoken and now the results of fan favourite voting has been released just as the Penticton Vees get set for the RBC Cup in Humboldt Saskatchewan.

BCHL fans voted for Vernon Viper and Revelstoke native Riley Hunt as their favourite rookie of the year while Vees Head Coach Fred Harbinson won the fan favourite coach award.

The remaining awards were split between players for Prince George and Nanaimo. The Vees open up their run at the RBC Cup on Saturday when they play the Soo Thunderbirds. They then play the host Humboldt Broncos on Sunday.

Sticking with the BCHL, the Silverbacks open up Spring Camp this morning at 930 and have games all weekend long. the top prospects go at it on Sunday at 2pm your invited to come out and watch
